This group is for couples of any length of marriage who want to explore areas of marital growth and celebrate areas of marital strength in a fun and confidential setting. The group will meet for 10 weeks on Wednesday evenings beginning February 20, 2013. Cost is $35 per couple for materials.
Many of us are new to following Jesus and want to learn about the Bible and how to read it; the Kingdom of God and how to live in it; how to pray; and sharing our faith with others. If you’re unsure if this class is for you, show up for the first session, which will be an introduction, and give you a good idea of what the class will be like, and what will be covered. This introduction will be held on Thursday night, February 21, 2013. The class will meet for 8 weeks on Thursday nights, following the introduction. Ever since John Wimber wrote Power Healing in the 1980s, the Vineyard’s prayer model has been used by Christians of all backgrounds to pray for the sick, injured, and oppressed. This model reflects Jesus’ emphasis on joining the Father in what He is doing, with an emphasis on hearing God.
In the Healing Prayer class, we’ll look at healing in Jesus’ ministry, our call to join Him in His ministry today, and practical wisdom from scripture about how to pray with people. This class is also the necessary training for folks who would like to come and pray with people at the end of our Sunday service.
This two-week class will meet Saturday, April 13 and 20. We’ll begin at 10am and go til 12:30pm. There will be a light breakfast and munchies. The class will be at the church. Please sign up on the table by the information kiosk.
