CLASSES

Vineyard City Church offers a wide range of free classes. If you are interested in more information, please contact us. The most commonly offered are:

Alpha – This class is offered by churches of all sorts all over the world. It is designed to offer a low key setting where you can explore the Christian faith. Each week includes a talk on a major topic in the Christian faith, a meal, and a real discussion. Any question is welcome and discussion leaders do not try to give “pat” answers. There is a casual and freewheeling flavor to this course.

Welcome to the Vineyard – This class is an overview of Vineyard City Church and is designed for people who are considering making us their church family or just want more information before going further. We discuss Vineyard City Church’s beliefs and the beliefs of the Vineyard movement that we are a part of, our history, and what’s distinctive about our movement. We look at Vineyard City Church’s vision and how it developed and at what it looks like to be a regular here.

Power Healing – This class teaches and offers a chance to practice the healing model we use. We want to train, encourage and release all of our people to pray with others for healing or other needs. We begin by studying healing in the Bible and then we offer a simple model for praying with people that we find helps people get going.

Hearing God – Good relationships require good communication, which is, as we all know, not easy. Our relationship with God is no different. This class studies the various ways the Bible teaches us to hear God. This includes a careful study of what are “Biblical experiences” of God. We also offer a chance to listen to God. Since we seek to join Jesus in what He is doing today, we consider an ability to hear God vital for our daily discipleship.

SHAPE – This class helps us better understand that God has designed each of us uniquely and how you are designed. We use a wide variety of tools to help people better understand their spiritual gifts, heart (what you are passionate about), abilities (skills), personality tendencies, and past experiences. Then we look at how our design can be used to serve others.
